Welcome to my studio information page!
I primarily teach violin and viola, but also have cello and piano students. I utilize the Suzuki Pedagogy books (all available on Amazon or through the publisher, Alfred ).
I also encourage group playing in addition to private lessons. Many of my students are involved with their school orchestras, there are also district orchestra offerings (as your music or strings teacher at school), and as well older students qualify through NYSSMA for regional festival orchestras. In Westchester, there’s the Greater Westchester Youth Orchestra Association and The Westchester/Putnum Youth Symphony , prestigious groups similar to the Memphis Youth Symphony Program I grew up in and cherish my seven years served!
Pachelbel’s Canon in D is probably one of the most recognizable pieces of Western Classical Literature. I recorded each the general bass and violin parts. Here they are for my students to listen and practice.
and with just the General Bass for practice…
and general bass with only violin 1…
If you want to see me perform, see my Upcoming Events Page. I’ve also posted archived performances on my YouTube and SoundCloud profiles. (see SocMed)
My current students know that taking a lesson with me means commitment. Each lesson revolves around the Five priorities for teaching.
